Collection of four detached 4-bedroom canal fronting houses and a two-storey converted Victorian mill for mixed commercial use to let.
Phase One: Military Canal Housing, Appledore, Kent
The site is located along the bank of the Royal Military Canal overlooking the canal and adjacent National Trust land with rural views beyond. The site plan consists of four detached 4-bedroom houses each with private gardens overlooking the canal and National Trust land.
The houses have large open plan ground floors, with a kitchen and dining area overlooking the private garden. The kitchens are handmade bespoke kitchens with a raised glass ceiling above the dining area and full height glazed corners to give a 180-degree view outside, and abundant natural light inside. The living room is linked through from the kitchen dining space and has floor to ceiling glass and sliding doors overlooking the canal, along with an exposed brickwork log fire. The ground floor also contains an entrance hallway, utility room, and WC.
On the first floor, there are two double bedrooms, one with en suite bathroom, along with one single bedroom. The bedroom with the en suite bathroom has canal front views, and the two rear-facing bedrooms have views of the listed Appledore Parish church with a shared family bathroom. On the second floor, there is a large master suite with a walk-in wardrobe, en suite bathroom, and a balcony terrace overlooking the canal.
Each house will be finished to a high standard, with each having its own uniquely designed kitchen and built-in bedroom joinery. Externally, plots one and four have exposed fair-faced brickwork combined with clay tile hanging elevations. Plots two and three have exposed fair-faced bricks combined with heat-treated timber cladding.
At the entrance to the site, there is a Victorian mill which is to be restored and renovated as part of the scheme and offered as commercial premises to let.
